Tarandeep Singh Sekhon is the Marketing Director at KidZania India, a global indoor theme park that inspires, educates, and empowers kids, by helping them understand and manage their world better. Tarandeep has been associated with the organization since December 2015.
An alumnus of MMK College, Mumbai, he has a MBA Degree in Retail Management and Marketing from The ITM Business School, Navi Mumbai where he was rewarded with the Dean’s Award for Top honours in Academic Excellence.
With over eleven years’ experience in Marketing, Tarandeep has developed expertise in a wide spectrum of tasks. He began his career with Fame Cinemas in 2006, where he was appointed as the Head of Marketing. In his role, he had successfully managed to launch 15 new multiplexes across the country.
Following this, he joined EsselWorld and Water Kingdom in 2009, as the Senior Manager, Marketing of Pan India Paryatan Pvt. Ltd., where he was responsible for operational execution of events for both the brands, following which, he then chartered a path in a senior position in Marketing and Business Development for EsselWorld, Water Kingdom and was also instrumental for brand extension and launch of FEC Downtown EsselWorld.
His professional journey led him to KidZania India in 2012, as the Marketing Head of the esteemed organization. He also played a vital role in the launch of KidZania, Delhi NCR in May 2016.
Besides being passionate about his career and excelling on the professional front, Tarandeep also has a lighter side to him. His choices of alternative careers include being a professional cricketer or sportsman in Cricket or Table Tennis. His biggest inspiration is Adam Gilchrist who “Never gives up, always goes for the win, yet has a high level of sportsmanship”.
A matter close to his heart, Tarandeep is also extremely dedicated towards the cause of education for underprivileged kids.
A movie and sports buff, he also loves travelling and has been to New Zealand, Australia, Macau, UAE, France, Switzerland and more.
